Physician Leads
PCN Physician Lead
Dr. Dean Brown is a family doctor on the North Shore and the lead physician for the North Shore Primary Care Network Program delivered by the North Shore Division of Family Practice. He is also an active staff at Lionsgate Hospital and the Director of the UBC North Shore Family Physician Residency Program for Coastal Site. Dr. Dean has been leading the development of the Primary Care Network’s Preventive Care Education series and is looking forward to delivering more health talks and resources to the public.
PCN Physician Lead
Dr. Ruth Campling is a family physician, who has been practising on the North Shore since 1981. Since she started, it became obvious to her that system change was long overdue. As a result, Dr. Campling is focused on team-based care and a transition to the North Shore Primary Care Network (PCN). She believes that the integration of a team of healthcare workers to support patient care can only enhance the healthcare system to the benefit of all involved.

Communications Advisor
Kate is a public relations professional who develops and implements strategic communications plans and leads branding processes. She works to establish and maintain community and stakeholder relationships, and identifies public issues, creating messaging across a variety of platforms.
With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Kate has been dedicated to supporting physicians with knowledge translation and messaging, facilitating team communication and conducting media outreach. She is excited about creating public awareness of the Primary Care Network on the North Shore.
Manager
Hinah works as the Primary Care Network (PCN) Manager, supporting the implementation and day-to-day operations of the PCN. These initiatives encompass the registered nurses in practice, the mental health clinicians, and the PCN clinical pharmacists.
Hinah holds an MBA and is a Registered Nurse. Her multidisciplinary approach combines compassionate care with leadership in healthcare innovation, optimizing both patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Coordinator
Katie Clayworth supports the implementation and operation of several PCN initiatives, including team-based care, preventive care, and family physician neighborhood networks. Katie comes from an academic research background and is excited to apply her unique skillset to help strengthen primary care on the North Shore.

Physician Recruitment Coordinator
Michelle supports the recruitment and retention of new and existing North Shore family physicians and nurse practitioners who play a key role as primary care providers. She is looking forward to continuing to work with the members of the North Shore to help increase the community’s capacity to provide greater access to primary care.
Primary Care Network Practice Advisor
Beth brings 25 years of North Shore healthcare experience to her role at the PCN. She fosters relationships with community partners to support family practice teams and registered nurses who work together for more holistic patient outcomes.
She provides both practice and provider support through change management, quality and process improvements, community navigation and by serving as a liaison. She is dedicated to enhancing the quality of primary care for NS residents and providers.
Social Media Coordinator and Administrative Assistant
Deborah works to support the PCN Communications team and the overall programme.
Practice Change Manager
Candace has over 25 years of experience directly supporting Family Physicians and their office staff, primarily on the North Shore. Her previous roles include Health Technology Advisor at Doctors Technology Office (DoBC), Coordinator at the Practice Support Program (VCH), and Relationship Manager and Practice Automation Coach at the Physician Information Technology Office (PITO).
Over the course of her career, Candace has sharpened her skills as a quality improvement coach and developed a deep understanding of workflow within physician practices.
Patient Services Coordinator
Aimee supports patients on the North Shore by connecting them to a Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner. She works closely with healthcare providers in the community, ensuring they have the capacity to accept new patients. As such, she is responsible for updates to the Health Connect Registry.
Aimee also works to build relationships with North Shore community organizations to ensure that our community is aware of the different healthcare resources available to them.
